Even though I was born in Brazil, I consider myself a native Houstonian. As the saying goes I got here as fast as I could! My family moved to Houston when I was just three years old and I grew up on "the north side." Later I studied both music and English at Rice University and I lived and worked in the medical center area. I've worked as both a technical and marketing writer, but I've also taught piano and voice lessons in Cypress where I've lived for over twenty-five years. I am currently the advertising director and contributing editor for Pen World magazine. My creative background makes me a uniquely qualified sales specialist. I love to entertain, I have an eye for design, and I am very detail oriented, but perhaps more importantly, I am a great listener. I have years of work experience in real estate Administration, Management and Accounting. I have worked in Appraisal and Property Management for commercial real estate and Accounting and Sales for residential real estate. My position as a senior and managing administrator provided for management, executive oversight and implementation of the real estate business administrative functions required by my employers. Oversight of the Texas and Central U.S. allowed me to interact with some the largest real estate institutional clients in the U.S. I have worked closely with the following client types: financial institutions, insurance companies, law firms, governmental entities, developers, private property owners, and many Fortune 500 companies active in the U.S. and institutional international clients active outside the U.S. I have lengthy experience of interacting with real estate professionals and institutional accounts at the highest level. I have always been found to be honest and having the utmost integrity and professionalism.

Karen Loving is an energetic, knowledgeable Realtor, who is passionate about providing clients with a level of service that exceeds their expectations. Karen has built her business on a foundation of integrity, excellence, and 30 years of experience in the Houston market.

Raised in St. Louis with five siblings, Karen grew up building furniture with her older brother, sparking her passion for home design and construction at a young age. She attended Missouri University of Science and Technology, graduating with a BS in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Communications. Relocating to Houston, Karen then launched a successful career as an engineer and consultant in the oil and gas industry and earned a master's degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Houston.

As an area resident for more than 30 years, Karen has broad knowledge of the Greater Houston Metroplex. Across Clear Lake, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, and more, Karen spent years attending sporting and school events with her children and spending time with family. During her time in Houston, Karen has lived in six different communities, including central and northwest Houston, the Energy Corridor, and the Cypress area.

With her knowledge of the city, her love for design and engineering, and her experience in sales and communications, Karen was understandably attracted to the real estate profession.
