When working with a person to list their home, I strive to thoroughly research the market to determine an accurate value, make suggestions as to what will make the property more inviting for the minimum cost, and market the property through multiple online sources to ensure the property sells for the highest price in the least amount of time. I stay in constant contact with the client and answer all calls personally or get back with them at the earliest possible moment.

When working with a client to find them a home, I LISTEN to what they want, what their needs are, what their situation is, and then go find homes that meet that criteria. I make sure they have been pre-qualified by a great lender so that when we find the right home, they can pounce on it. I am a superb negotiator, looking for creative ways to get my client what they want in a win/win/win scenario.

I have an incredible attention to detail, many times catching errors on a closing statement that lenders and title companies miss. I review contracts word by word to ensure they reflect what my client wants. I follow through to the end to make sure of a successful closing. I leave no stone unturned to find a solution when things may become difficult. I am tenacious to get my client the results they want, while establishing and maintaining great relationships with other realtors, lenders, title companies, insurance agents, and inspectors.

As a resident of Atascocita since 1981, I have strong ties to this and surrounding areas. Now as a licensed realtor, I bring my wealth of knowledge of this area to my real estate career. Kara is a 4th generation Texan and proud to be a Realtor with her family business, Lane Real Estate, teaming up with both her parents who are also both Brokers, Betty and Rocky Lane. Kara grew up right outside of Houston in Rosenberg and graduated from Terry Highschool and Texas A&M University with a BS in Psychology. She worked for a Galleria/Inner Loop title company as a Marketing Manager for 3 years and later switched to the other side of real estate in 2002 as a Realtor. She enjoyed a successful and fulfilling real estate career for years thanks to her repeat clients, referrals, friends and family prior to her husband's job transfer overseas that kept their family on the move for 13 years before returning back home to Houston. Kara has lived and/or worked inside the loop, Bellaire, Galleria, The Heights, Memorial, Rice Military, Sugar Land, Katy, Rosenberg/Richmond, Cypress and Spring and of course has family and friends scattered all over Houston giving her vast experience and knowledge of the different areas of this great city of Houston.
