I've been a licensed Realtor since April 2007, just before running the Boston Marathon - two of my proudest accomplishments. Having been in outside sales most of my adult life, real estate sales was a natural transition for me after moving to the South Padre Island/Port Isabel area in 1996. However, with 2 young daughters to raise, my real estate career had to be put on the back burner until the timing was right. Unfortunately for me and the rest of the real estate community, that time came when the real estate market began its downward decline. In spite of the soft real estate market, I had a moderate to fair amount of success, receiving RE/MAX's Executive Club award every year since becoming a licensed Realtor. And in 2012 I received the 100% Club award since it was a fantastic year and my best year yet! I continued to excel in 2013, doubling my sales from the previous year. In 2014, not only did my sales increase by 60%, but I became the top selling agent in the area becoming a RE/MAX Platinum agent for the first time. 2015 and 2016 year-end sales cemented my number one sales position as well as earning the coveted REMAX Hall of Fame award in addition to achieving Platinum status both of those years. I am born and raised on the South Texas Coast, and I love what our community has to offer. I am thrilled to work with the Costal Bend to meet their real estate goals through great customer service. DEE DEE Cortez was born in San Antonio, Texas moved with her family many times during her childhood–from Untied States to Mexico and Panama to North Carolina, South Carolina, California, and various other locations. Though she didn't know it at the time, she was continuing to develop the people skills that would be invaluable throughout her life. You see DEE DEE takes pride in who she is, what she has accomplished, relationships she has built over the years. Her passion for helping buyers find the perfect home, people she can connect with. She identifies with the people and families who live in Corpus Christi. This area attracts a lot of families; the people who live here are passionate about their neighborhood and schools. We also have a naval air station nearby, so there is some regular turnover with families of the support staff and officers moving in and out. She loves to help people relocate to the area and sell when it's time for something new. Even when she is not busy working in her career, she is looking for ways to expand her knowledge–to acquire the skills she needs to reach her goals.
