Young Women's College Prep Academy's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Piney Point Elementary School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Young Women's College Prep Academy. They make up for 50.35% of student population, followed by Hispanics (42.62%), Whites or Caucasians (3.04%), Asians (1.64%), Two or More Races (1.64%) and Native Americans (0.47%).
At Piney Point Elementary School, Hispanics make up 79.52% of student population, followed by African Americans (13.00%), Whites or Caucasians (3.99%), Asians (2.63%), Two or More Races (0.68%) and Native Americans (0.17%).
Based on household incomes, the Young Women's College Prep Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 69.79% compared to 97.28% at Piney Point Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Young Women's College Prep Academy has 28 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 6.56% of student population. Piney Point Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 770 or about 65.42% of student population.
Young Women's College Prep Academy’s bilingual students comprise 7.96%, gifted and talented students, 34.89%, while 1.87% are in the special education program.
