Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Worth Heights Elementary School's two out of seven distinctions are in post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. Eastern Hills Elementary School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Worth Heights Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 95.02% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (3.39%), Asians (0.60%), Two or More Races (0.60%) and African Americans (0.40%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
The student population at Eastern Hills Elementary School is also predominantly by African Americans at 49.50%, followed by Hispanics (41.25%), Whites or Caucasians (4.23%), Two or More Races (2.62%), Asians (2.01%) and Native Americans (0.20%).
Based on household incomes, the Worth Heights Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is lower at 94.42% compared to 94.57% at Eastern Hills Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Worth Heights Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 52.19% of its student population compared to 29.18% at Eastern Hills Elementary School.
Worth Heights Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 48.41%, gifted and talented students, 5.38%, while 13.35% are in the special education program. Eastern Hills Elementary School bilingual students comprise 27.36%, gifted and talented students, 2.21%, and 8.45% are in the special education program.
