Bryan Adams H S Leadership Academy's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. W W Samuell High School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in W W Samuell High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 84.11% of student population, followed by African Americans (13.39%), Whites or Caucasians (1.76%), Native Americans (0.53%), Two or More Races (0.16%) and Asians (0.05%).
At Bryan Adams H S Leadership Academy, Hispanics make up 80.84% of student population, followed by African Americans (10.64%), Whites or Caucasians (5.84%), Asians (1.59%), Two or More Races (0.86%) and Native Americans (0.14%).
Based on household incomes, W W Samuell High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 92.69% compared to 82.20% at Bryan Adams H S Leadership Academy.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, W W Samuell High School has 1093 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 58.29% of student population. Bryan Adams H S Leadership Academy has significantly more ELLs at 1168 or about 52.90% of student population.
In addition, W W Samuell High School has 54.72% bilingual students, 9.81% are in the gifted and talented program, while 12.53% are in the special education program.
