A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Strack Intermediate's one out of seven distinction is in Social Studies. Kleb Intermediate did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Strack Intermediate. They make up for 37.75% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (30.18%), African Americans (18.26%), Asians (8.96%), Two or More Races (4.52%) and Native Americans (0.16%).
The student population at Kleb Intermediate is also predominantly by Hispanics at 37.69%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (33.24%), African Americans (16.06%), Asians (7.93%), Two or More Races (4.45%) and Native Americans (0.35%).
Based on household incomes, the Strack Intermediate’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 45.31% compared to 50.00% at Kleb Intermediate.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Strack Intermediate has 138 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 11.35% of student population. Kleb Intermediate has significantly more ELLs at 193 or about 13.42% of student population.
Strack Intermediate’s bilingual students comprise 11.27%, gifted and talented students, 9.70%, while 11.76% are in the special education program. Kleb Intermediate bilingual students comprise 13.07%, gifted and talented students, 8.28%, and 11.96% are in the special education program.
Strack Intermediate's 78 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 8 years with individual teaching experience averaging 12.2 years. Teachers at Kleb Intermediate, numbering 86 teachers, have been serving the school for an average of 7.3 years with individual teaching experience averaging 11.4 years.
