It is in this area where the two schools differ. P H Greene Elementary School’s only distinction designation is in Read/ELA. Clear Lake City Elementary School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on household incomes, P H Greene Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 56.35% compared to 49.21% at Clear Lake City Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, P H Greene Elementary School has a slightly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 13.04% of its student population compared to 11.86% at Clear Lake City Elementary School.
P H Greene Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 12.04%, gifted and talented students, 9.70%, while 15.38% are in the special education program. Clear Lake City Elementary School bilingual students comprise 11.66%, gifted and talented students, 8.10%, and 13.64% are in the special education program.
