It is in this area where the two schools differ. Morales Elementary School’s only distinction designation is in Comparative Academic Growth. Dr Kirk Lewis Career And Technical High School's six out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on household incomes, Morales Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 90.55% compared to 69.14% at Dr Kirk Lewis Career And Technical High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Morales Elementary School has 174 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 43.28% of student population. Dr Kirk Lewis Career And Technical High School has significantly more ELLs at 240 or about 16.46% of student population.
In addition, Morales Elementary School has 39.05% bilingual students, 1.99% are in the gifted and talented program, while 14.93% are in the special education program.
