When we compared Miller Elementary School, which is a part of LUBBOCK ISD, with Parsons Elementary School, which is a part of LUBBOCK ISD, we noted a big difference in ratings.

Miller Elementary School has a regular student population of 640 with a 16.1 students/teacher ratio while Parsons Elementary School has 362 students and a student-teacher ratio of 13 students/teacher ratio.

Performance Indicators

Miller Elementary School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 92 in student achievement, 93 in school progress and 96 in closing performance gaps. It scored 94 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.

On the other hand, Parsons Elementary School earned a State accountability rating of C. The school posted 67 in student achievement, 72 in school progress, 68 in closing performance gaps and 71 overall in post-secondary readiness.
