Memorial Elementary School's four out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Ashford Elementary School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Memorial Elementary School. They make up for 60.60% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (19.57%), African Americans (8.15%), Two or More Races (5.98%), Asians (5.16%) and Native Americans (0.54%).
The student population at Ashford Elementary School is also predominantly by African Americans at 51.95%, followed by Hispanics (34.57%), Whites or Caucasians (7.80%), Asians (3.19%), Two or More Races (1.95%) and Native Americans (0.53%).
Based on household incomes, the Memorial Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 54.89% compared to 87.41% at Ashford Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Memorial Elementary School has 110 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 29.89% of student population. Ashford Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 142 or about 25.18% of student population.
Memorial Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 56.52%, gifted and talented students, 8.70%, while 11.96% are in the special education program. Ashford Elementary School bilingual students comprise 31.91%, gifted and talented students, 3.90%, and 8.33% are in the special education program.
