McMullan Elementary School's four out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. McGhee Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in McGhee Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 83.41% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (7.11%), African Americans (5.92%), Native Americans (1.42%), Two or More Races (1.42%) and Asians (0.71%).
At McMullan Elementary School, Hispanics make up 91.42% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (4.09%), African Americans (2.92%), Two or More Races (0.97%) and Native Americans (0.58%). There is no Asians student in the school.
Based on household incomes, the McGhee Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is lower at 88.86% compared to 91.03% at McMullan Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, McGhee Elementary School has 223 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 52.84% of student population. McMullan Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 307 or about 59.84% of student population.
In addition, McGhee Elementary School has 50.71% bilingual students, 3.79% are in the gifted and talented program, while 13.03% are in the special education program.
