Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Haude Elementary School's one out of seven distinction is in 25% closing performance gaps. McDougle Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in McDougle Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 78.49% of student population, followed by African Americans (11.82%), Asians (6.78%), Whites or Caucasians (1.36%), Two or More Races (0.97%) and Native Americans (0.58%).
The student population at Haude Elementary School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 42.18%, followed by Hispanics (32.06%), African Americans (14.57%), Two or More Races (6.13%), Asians (4.75%) and Native Americans (0.31%).
Based on household incomes, McDougle Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 87.21% compared to 36.81% at Haude Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, McDougle Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 58.91% of its student population compared to 7.21% at Haude Elementary School.
In addition, McDougle Elementary School has 61.24% bilingual students, 1.74% are in the gifted and talented program, while 13.76% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Haude Elementary School with 6.44% bilingual students, 5.52% gifted and talented students and 11.66% students in the special education program.
