Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Margil Elementary School's one out of seven distinction is in with 25% student progress. Woodlawn Academy did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Margil Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 93.22% of student population, followed by African Americans (3.27%), Whites or Caucasians (3.02%) and Two or More Races (0.50%). There is no Asians and Native Americansstudents in the school.

Woodlawn Academy has more ELLs at 123 or about 21.62% of student population.
In addition, Margil Elementary School has 30.40% bilingual students, 0.25% are in the gifted and talented program, while 13.57% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Woodlawn Academy with 22.85% bilingual students, 12.13% gifted and talented students and 10.02% students in the special education program.
