Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Lamkin Elementary School, which is a part of CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD, with Danish Elementary School, which is a part of CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Distinction Designations for Lamkin Elementary School and Danish Elementary School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Lamkin Elementary School. They make up for 35.09% of student population, followed by African Americans (26.57%), Whites or Caucasians (24.66%), Asians (6.95%), Two or More Races (5.83%) and Native Americans (0.90%).
The student population at Danish Elementary School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 43.34%, followed by African Americans (35.78%), Whites or Caucasians (10.18%), Asians (7.03%), Two or More Races (2.94%) and Native Americans (0.73%).
Based on household incomes, the Lamkin Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 67.71% compared to 81.22% at Danish Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Lamkin Elementary School has 86 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 9.64% of student population. Danish Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 263 or about 27.60% of student population.
Lamkin Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 9.53%, gifted and talented students, 3.25%, while 15.58% are in the special education program. Danish Elementary School bilingual students comprise 26.86%, gifted and talented students, 3.15%, and 12.49% are in the special education program.
