Lakewood Elementary School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Arturo Salazar Elementary School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Lakewood Elementary School is Whites or Caucasians who make up nearly 78.91% of student population, followed by Hispanics (11.26%), Two or More Races (5.03%), Asians (1.75%), African Americans (1.64%) and Native Americans (1.31%).
At Arturo Salazar Elementary School, Hispanics make up 98.38% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (1.16%) and African Americans (0.46%). There is no Asians, Native Americans and Two or More Racesstudents in the school.
Based on household incomes, the Lakewood Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 5.79% compared to 93.04% at Arturo Salazar Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Lakewood Elementary School has 29 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 3.17% of student population.
