Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
L G Pinkston High School's one out of seven distinction is in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA). South Oak Cliff High School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in L G Pinkston High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 74.53% of student population, followed by African Americans (22.78%), Whites or Caucasians (0.97%), Asians (0.60%), Native Americans (0.60%) and Two or More Races (0.52%).
At South Oak Cliff High School, African Americans are the biggest group, comprising 64.76% of student population, followed by Hispanics (32.34%), Asians (1.13%), Two or More Races (0.85%), Whites or Caucasians (0.71%) and Native Americans (0.14%).
