Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Kujawa Ec/Pk/K is Hispanics who make up nearly 74.73% of student population, followed by African Americans (17.50%), Asians (3.96%), Two or More Races (1.98%), Whites or Caucasians (1.52%) and Native Americans (0.30%).
At Johnson Elementary School, Hispanics make up 80.52% of student population, followed by African Americans (15.71%), Two or More Races (1.80%) and Whites or Caucasians (1.64%). There is no Asians and Native Americansstudents in the school.
Based on household incomes, Kujawa Ec/Pk/K’s economically disadvantaged students is higher at 93.91% compared to 93.78% at Johnson Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Kujawa Ec/Pk/K has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 60.27% of its student population compared to 57.45% at Johnson Elementary School.
Kujawa Ec/Pk/K has no gifted and talented student, while 9.59% are in the special education program, and bilingual students comprise 59.97% students. Johnson Elementary School 10.80% are in the special education program, 2.45% are in the gifted and talented program, and bilingual students comprise 55.97% students.
