Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Kohrville Elementary School, which is a part of KLEIN ISD, with Schultz Elementary School, which is a part of KLEIN ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Schultz Elementary School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. Kohrville Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Kohrville Elementary School. They make up for 49.79% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (25.66%), African Americans (14.76%), Two or More Races (5.52%), Asians (3.59%) and Native Americans (0.41%).
The student population at Schultz Elementary School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 48.45%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (27.61%), African Americans (11.88%), Two or More Races (6.22%), Asians (5.48%) and Native Americans (0.37%).
Based on household incomes, Kohrville Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 59.59% compared to 55.94% at Schultz Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Kohrville Elementary School has 126 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 17.38% of student population. Schultz Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 172 or about 31.44% of student population.
In addition, Kohrville Elementary School has 17.79% bilingual students, 3.17% are in the gifted and talented program, while 12.69% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Schultz Elementary School with 31.44% bilingual students, 5.12% gifted and talented students and 9.69% students in the special education program.
