Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Hunters Creek Elementary School, which is a part of SPRING BRANCH ISD, with Meadow Wood Elementary School, which is a part of SPRING BRANCH ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Hunters Creek Elementary School has a regular student population of 618 with a 17.4 students/teacher ratio while Meadow Wood Elementary School has 652 students and a student-teacher ratio of 16.4 students/teacher ratio.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Hunters Creek Elementary School's two out of seven distinctions are in post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. Meadow Wood Elementary School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Hunters Creek Elementary School. They make up for 61.33% of student population, followed by Hispanics (16.18%), Asians (11.97%), Two or More Races (5.18%), African Americans (5.02%) and Native Americans (0.32%).
At Meadow Wood Elementary School, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 58.44% of student population, followed by Hispanics (22.85%), African Americans (9.97%), Asians (4.91%), Two or More Races (3.68%) and Native Americans (0.15%).
Based on household incomes, the Hunters Creek Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 19.74% compared to 31.29% at Meadow Wood Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Hunters Creek Elementary School has 61 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 9.87% of student population. Meadow Wood Elementary School has slightly more ELLs at 77 or about 11.81% of student population.
