Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Frazier Elementary School, which is a part of CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD, with Sampson Elementary School, which is a part of CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Frazier Elementary School has a regular student population of 596 with a 13.3 students/teacher ratio while Sampson Elementary School has 860 students and a student-teacher ratio of 17.9 students/teacher ratio.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Frazier Elementary School’s two out of seven distinctions are in Science and post-secondary. Sampson Elementary School's three out of seven distinctions are in Science, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Frazier Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 73.83% of student population, followed by African Americans (8.56%), Asians (7.89%), Whites or Caucasians (6.21%), Two or More Races (2.52%) and Native Americans (1.01%).
At Sampson Elementary School, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 54.53% of student population, followed by Hispanics (20.70%), Asians (14.19%), Two or More Races (5.23%), African Americans (5.12%) and Native Americans (0.23%).
Based on household incomes, Frazier Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 85.57% compared to 11.98% at Sampson Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Frazier Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 49.33% of its student population compared to 6.28% at Sampson Elementary School.
In addition, Frazier Elementary School has 48.32% bilingual students, 3.36% are in the gifted and talented program, while 12.75% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Sampson Elementary School with 5.81% bilingual students, 11.16% gifted and talented students and 9.30% students in the special education program.
