When we compared Dr Ronald E McNair Junior High School, which is a part of ALVIN ISD, with Nolan Ryan Junior High School, which is a part of ALVIN ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Dr Ronald E McNair Junior High School’s regular student population is 1,015 with a 16.5 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Nolan Ryan Junior High School is 854 students and a 17.8 students/teacher ratio.

It is in this area where the two schools differ. Dr Ronald E McNair Junior High School's two out of seven distinctions are in with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Except for with 25% student progress, Nolan Ryan Junior High School earned one out of seven distinctions.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Dr Ronald E McNair Junior High School.
