Burton Hill Elementary School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Dolores Huerta Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Dolores Huerta Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 97.38% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (1.01%), Two or More Races (1.01%), African Americans (0.40%) and Native Americans (0.20%). There is no Asians student in the school.
The student population at Burton Hill Elementary School is also predominantly by Hispanics at 51.45%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (34.68%), African Americans (9.83%), Two or More Races (2.89%) and Asians (1.16%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Dolores Huerta Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 93.96% compared to 60.12% at Burton Hill Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Dolores Huerta Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 57.75% of its student population compared to 8.96% at Burton Hill Elementary School.
In addition, Dolores Huerta Elementary School has 54.12% bilingual students, 4.83% are in the gifted and talented program, while 13.88% are in the special education program.
