When we compared Burnett Elementary School, which is a part of PASADENA ISD, with Parks Elementary School, which is a part of PASADENA ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Distinction Designations for Burnett Elementary School and Parks Elementary School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Burnett Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 73.85% of student population, followed by African Americans (14.17%), Asians (4.99%), Whites or Caucasians (4.79%) and Two or More Races (2.20%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
At Parks Elementary School, Hispanics make up 83.70% of student population, followed by African Americans (7.90%), Whites or Caucasians (6.42%), Two or More Races (1.48%) and Native Americans (0.49%). There is no Asians student in the school.
Based on household incomes, the Burnett Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 83.43% compared to 94.07% at Parks Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Burnett Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 33.93% of its student population compared to 34.81% at Parks Elementary School.
In addition, Burnett Elementary School has 30.94% bilingual students, 2.79% are in the gifted and talented program, while 18.36% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Parks Elementary School with 29.88% bilingual students, 5.93% gifted and talented students and 16.54% students in the special education program.
