Bridgeland High School’s regular student population is 3,449 with a student-teacher ratio of 16.7 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Cypress Park High School is 2,905 students and a student-teacher ratio of 15.8 students/teacher ratio.
Bridgeland High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 94 in student achievement, 86 in school progress and an impressive100 in closing performance gaps. It scored 96 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.
On the other hand, Cypress Park High School earned a State accountability rating of C. The school posted 73 in student achievement, 81 in school progress, 72 in closing performance gaps and 78 overall in post-secondary readiness.
A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Bridgeland High School's four out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Cypress Park High School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Bridgeland High School. They make up for 50.65% of student population, followed by Hispanics (22.44%), African Americans (12.35%), Asians (10.35%), Two or More Races (3.57%) and Native Americans (0.46%).
At Cypress Park High School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 57.76% of student population, followed by African Americans (29.91%), Whites or Caucasians (6.27%), Asians (3.75%), Two or More Races (1.79%) and Native Americans (0.41%).
Based on household incomes, the Bridgeland High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 17.25% compared to 69.88% at Cypress Park High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Bridgeland High School has 76 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 2.20% of student population. Cypress Park High School has significantly more ELLs at 294 or about 10.12% of student population.
Bridgeland High School’s bilingual students comprise 1.88%, gifted and talented students, 15.83%, while 6.81% are in the special education program. Cypress Park High School bilingual students comprise 8.61%, gifted and talented students, 3.79%, and 7.88% are in the special education program.
Bridgeland High School's 206 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 6.2 years with individual teaching experience averaging nearly 9.7 years. Cypress Park High School's 184 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 4.8 years with individual teaching experience averaging close to 9.4 years.

On the other hand, Cypress Park High School employs 106 female teachers and 77 male teachers. Of its teaching staff, 17 special education teachers are being assisted by 25 teachers aides or paraprofessionals. The school also employs ten staff members in the school administration department and 22 more working as school support staff.
