When we compared Bleyl Middle School, which is a part of CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD, with Hamilton Middle School, which is a part of CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Bleyl Middle School’s regular student population is 1,543 with a 16 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Hamilton Middle School is 1,506 students and a 18.6 students/teacher ratio.
Bleyl Middle School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Hamilton Middle School's three out of seven distinctions are in Social Studies, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. Bleyl Middle School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Bleyl Middle School. They make up for 41.93% of student population, followed by African Americans (33.18%), Whites or Caucasians (14.39%), Asians (6.93%), Two or More Races (2.66%) and Native Americans (0.65%).
The student population at Hamilton Middle School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 44.89%, followed by Hispanics (27.22%), African Americans (14.48%), Asians (9.76%), Two or More Races (3.52%) and Native Americans (0.13%).
Based on household incomes, Bleyl Middle School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 70.51% compared to 35.59% at Hamilton Middle School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Bleyl Middle School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 12.44% of its student population compared to 5.44% at Hamilton Middle School.
In addition, Bleyl Middle School has 11.08% bilingual students, 5.70% are in the gifted and talented program, while 11.08% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Hamilton Middle School with 4.58% bilingual students, 15.54% gifted and talented students and 9.89% students in the special education program.
