It is in this area where the two schools differ. B H Macon Elementary School’s only distinction designation is in Science. F P Caillet Elementary School's four out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Science, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps.

In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, B H Macon Elementary School has 335 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 66.73% of student population. F P Caillet Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 439 or about 75.43% of student population.
