When we compared Bonnie Brae, which is a part of FORT WORTH ISD, with Young Men's Leadership Academy, which is a part of FORT WORTH ISD, we noted a wide disparity in ratings.
Bonnie Brae has a regular student population of 376 with a 13.2 students/teacher ratio while Young Men's Leadership Academy has 374 students and a student-teacher ratio of 10.7 students/teacher ratio.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Young Men's Leadership Academy's one out of seven distinction is in post-secondary. Bonnie Brae has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Bonnie Brae is Hispanics who make up nearly 85.11% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (6.65%), African Americans (3.19%), Two or More Races (2.66%) and Asians (2.39%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
The student population at Young Men's Leadership Academy is also predominantly by Hispanics at 46.79%, followed by African Americans (42.51%), Whites or Caucasians (5.61%), Two or More Races (2.67%) and Asians (2.14%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Bonnie Brae’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly higher at 88.56% compared to 79.41% at Young Men's Leadership Academy.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Bonnie Brae has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 53.99% of its student population compared to 25.40% at Young Men's Leadership Academy.
In addition, Bonnie Brae has 50.80% bilingual students, 4.26% are in the gifted and talented program, while 19.41% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Young Men's Leadership Academy with 24.33% bilingual students, 31.02% gifted and talented students and 7.49% students in the special education program.
