Cypress Creek High School’s regular student population is 3,263 with a student-teacher ratio of 15.6 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Cypress Park High School is 2,905 students and a student-teacher ratio of 15.8 students/teacher ratio.
Cypress Creek High School earned a State accountability rating of B (80-89) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Cypress Creek High School's four out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Cypress Park High School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Cypress Creek High School. They make up for 39.23% of student population, followed by African Americans (27.98%), Whites or Caucasians (20.47%), Asians (9.13%), Two or More Races (2.91%) and Native Americans (0.21%).
At Cypress Park High School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 57.76% of student population, followed by African Americans (29.91%), Whites or Caucasians (6.27%), Asians (3.75%), Two or More Races (1.79%) and Native Americans (0.41%).
Based on household incomes, the Cypress Creek High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 56.36% compared to 69.88% at Cypress Park High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Cypress Creek High School has 249 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 7.63% of student population. Cypress Park High School has significantly more ELLs at 294 or about 10.12% of student population.
Cypress Creek High School’s bilingual students comprise 6.93%, gifted and talented students, 5.46%, while 8.83% are in the special education program. Cypress Park High School bilingual students comprise 8.61%, gifted and talented students, 3.79%, and 7.88% are in the special education program.
