The City of Friendswood and the Friendswood Rotary Club are sponsoring the second annual Movies in the Park series at the Evelyn B. Newman Amphitheater in Centennial Park. With the help of a high definition projector and large blow-up movie screen, Friendswood residents will be treated to six weekly movies at dusk.
This summer’s Friday night showings include:
The Blind Side July 16th
Where the Wild Things Are July 23rd
Astroboy July 30th
Fame August 6th
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs August 13th
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince August 20th
Admission is free and movies begin shortly after dusk. Various concessions such as popcorn, soft drinks, hot dogs and candy will be for sale at the event. Everyone is encouraged to bring their blankets, lawn chairs, refreshments, dinner and/or a snack and sit back and enjoy an evening of fun and family entertainment.
This is another reason Friendswood has been voted in Money Magazine's Top 100 Places To Live. Come enjoy some family fun!
