Rain or Shine, Friendswood's 115th 4th of July Celebration Goes On!

Despite the recent wet conditions, Friendswood's 115th 4th of July Celebration will still continue as planned. The evening program staring Rick Trevino and Hamilton Loomis will begin at 7 p.m. at Friendswood's Centennial Park. No parking will be allowed at the park. Please use the free shuttle service from Clear Brook High School or Friendswood Community Church. Shuttle service will begin at 6 pm and run continuously until 8:45 p.m. The shuttle will begin making return trips immediately after the fireworks show. A special needs shuttle will run from Mary Queen Catholic Church.

The Grand parade will begin Monday morning at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Due to construction, parade viewing will be limited on the southbound side of 518 from Echo St. to Castlewood. The parade will end at Stevenson Park where the daytime program will immediately begin in the City Hall parking lot. No public parking will be allowed at City Hall or the City Pool parking lots beginning Sunday morning. The event will conclude at approximately 4 p.m. with the drawing of the Chamber of Commerce truck giveaway. Those with questions can call 281-636-2666.
