Once again this year, La Centerra in Katy ( exit Cinco Ranch Blvd from Grand Parkway and go right) will have free fireworks on July 4 th starting at 9:30 PM. The  band named Rewind with their roots from both Katy and Richmond will start the party and will entertain the attendees at 5:30 PM and end at 6:30 PM. A second band Eleventh Hour will take over and play from 6:45 PM until right before the fireworks starts at 9:30 PM. Eleventh Hour plays  a mix of their own original music plus classic rock and modern rock. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from several of the La Centerra restaurants and other stores. The Katy area VFW - Post 9182 will be on-site offering all things red, white and blue and taking donations. I personally have a huge soft spot in my heart for anything to do with the Vets and encourage all who want to see the fireworks to visit the VFW booth and remember to say Thank you to all the Vets in attendance. In addition, there will be a kids zone located behind Fish City Grill and Kenzo Sushi Bistro with numerous things for the little ones to do.

La Centerra will close the roads inside the complex to traffic at 4: 30 PM. Overflow parking is available at Cinco Ranch High School which directly across the street. The East garage which is parallel with 99 or Grand Parkway will be open to the public along with specific surface spaces.  Picnic baskets along with lawn chairs and blankets are allowed and encouraged. Alcohol is not allowed outside. The evening will end at 9:45 PM.

I hope to see several of you at this fine event....
