The Concord Group reports 50% of those born between 1980 and 1999, aka Generation Y, plan to buy a home within the next 3 years. They are willing to pay a premium to live close to work, and they are interested in living near alternative transportation. They're looking for more space, and will put down less than 20%. Seventy percent of those surveyed believe home prices will be at today's level or higher in two years. They also plan to leave city life eventually to live in the 'burbs. If you're in Gen Y, does this describe you too?
