Do's and Don't Concerning Credit! Take Charge!

Small steps are necessary to get back in control of your money situations and yes sacrifices have to be made. Credit issues did not happen overnight and they will not be resolved overnight. These tips from TakeChargeAmerica.org are very helpful!
Do's
Do Pay every account on time, every time
Do Pay more than the minimum amount due every month
Do Work on getting credit card balances below 30% of total credit limit
Do Make extra payments whenever possible
Do Use unexpected money, such as gifts and bonuses, to pay down debt
Do Build an emergency fund to minimize reliance on credit cards
Do Start planning for life after debt
Don'ts
Don't Miss payment due dates
Don't Make only minimum payments
Don't Keep credit card balances at or near their limit
Don't Apply for new credit; work on reducing your debt instead
Don't Close old credit accounts; it can ding your score
Don't Rely on credit cards or high-interest lending, such as payday loans, to pay for emergencies
