What's in Your Cup? Part 1

Blendin Coffee Club

What's the buzz in Fort Bend? Blendin Coffee Club located in Old Sugar Land at 8410 Highway 90A, Building B is not your typical coffee shop, it's a coffee club in which all the coffee they serve is toasted and grounded in-house. They have coffees from remote places such as Burundi, Africa, Myanmar in Asia and several Latin-American countries that specialize in coffee production such as Colombia, Honduras, and Panama AND they offer a wide range of brewing techniques that honestly got this science geek pretty excited. I mean who has always wanted to drink coffee from a beaker? uhh umm this girl!

Last Friday I met with a girl friend I haven't seen in ages. She had been wanting to drop in and see what all the buzz is about. We met at 10:30am and the place was hoppin'. Blendin has a great atmosphere with a clean and modern vibe. The menu has a wide range of options varying from traditional to craft brews. We opted for the signature drink "Zebra Stripe" (see photo above) with a raspberry reduction and candied orange peel garnish any foodie would appreciate. "Chew on the peel and then sip the drink", Andrew, the barista advised. We both loved the coffee shot and did not find a loss for words for at least and hour and a half. Will we be back? Definitely! Possible this Friday for the FREE public cupping...follow link for details.
