• Effective immediately the City of Houston will no longer accept DIDR DAP files for processing ($45,000 - $19,500, 120% AMI and 5-year Affordable Period).  

• All files received in our office after Wednesday, January 13, 2010 will be processed for DAP funds under one of the DAP programs below:


Homebuyer Assistance Program (HAP)
  • Funding $19,500
  • Maximum Income Limits: 80% and below of the area median income (combined family household income)
  • Affordability Period: 10-years
  • Must complete the 8-hour homebuyer education course from any participation HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency
  • Maximum sales price $200,160
Houston Hope
  • Funding $37,500
  • Maximum Income Limits: 80% and below the area median income (combined family household income)
  • Affordability Period: 10-years
  • Must complete the 8-hour homebuyer education course from any participation HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency
  • Maximum sales price $200,160
Workforce Housing DAP – New Homes Only, Located in the Houston HOPE Neighborhoods
  • Funding $30,000
  • Maximum Income Limits: 80% - 110% of the area median income (combined family household income)
  • Affordability Period: 10-years
  • Must compete the 8-hour homebuyer education course from any participation HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency
  • Maximum sales price $150,000
