Houston Housing Shortage A Reality

After exhausting preowned inventory for several months, I worked with buyer clients this weekend in the the Fort Bend master planned community of Riverstone. All the major builders were out of completed homes and my clients settled on a hosue that will be completed in December. Developers across the city stopped or slowed down the development of lots in 2009. They are just now getting ramped back up to provide builders the lots they need to supply the anticipated demand in the spring. This usually causes the prices of preowned homes that have been updated to compete with the new construction to rise.
