Dallas Real Estate Icon Renews Her License at 98

In honor of her 98th birthday, Ebby Halliday, founder of Ebby Halliday Realtors in Dallas, took a 15-hour real estate refresher course so the Texas Real Estate Commission would renew her license to sell real estate.
"When I turn 100, I'll have to go again,” Halliday said.
Halliday, who sold her first house in 1945, might be the oldest practicing real estate professional.
The classes at the Champions School of Real Estate in Plano, Texas, were helpful, Halliday said. For one thing, she learned to take a digital picture. She might even shoot one some day. "If I'm called on, I will,” she said.
