As a native Texan, going to New York City or California gives me a reality check about how good we have it down here. Compared to many other states, Texas boasts a relatively low cost of living. This affordability allows residents to enjoy a higher standard of living and more disposable income, contributing to the state's overall appeal. I don't know about you but as much as I want that skyscraper apartment in NYC, I'm not willing to pay an arm and a leg for it.

Houston in particular is ranked one of the most diverse locations in the U.S. and I always describe it as a melting pot of cultures. Personally, out of all of the reasons to live here, this is the reason that keeps me here and makes it difficult to ever consider leaving.

The state has no personal income tax, making it especially attractive for individuals looking to maximize their earnings and retirement savings. If I haven't already convinced you to move here, I know this one is going to be hard to resist.
