How Busy Are You?

I have been working with clients consistently for about a month now, seems like everyone wants something NOW !  One re-development property near downtown has had an influx of "offers", Sellers trying to determine which one is best for them.  Another property that has been listed for some time now, has an offer and Sellers are  trying to determine what to do.  I've counseled with them many, many hours, but when it comes right down to it, it's their decision.  So we wait.  And, then I have a very interesting listing within "rock throwing distance" to a major thoroughfare, and we got an offer last night, Seller's considering.  And,  then one of my wonderful buyers of a couple of years ago, called and wanted LAND immediately within 288 and Beltway 8, and wants it for 10K ac., NOW !!!!!   So you see, it's busy, etc. etc. etc.  My son's Birthday was Wed., July 29, 2009, and I was at a function and someone said "It's July 29th" and all of a sudden it hit me, I had forgotten to call my one and only precious son to tell him "Happy Birthday".  I've always called him between 6 and 7 a.m. on the 29th to wish him a Happy Birthday.  I immediately ran outside, called him, and he answered, usually it goes to voice mail, etc., but this time he actually answered.  He said he knew I was busy, and that we would get together next week, and celebrate.  He is the best son.  And, I do love him very much.  He was having dinner with his lovely wife and boys.  They wanted it to be just them this time.  I so understood.  Sometimes it's this and sometimes it's that.  I just love the fact that we try to make everyday Birthday, Christmas, a Good Day.  I strive to give my loved ones their "flowers" everyday.  You see, Mr. Furst has made every day "special" because we are not guaranteed tomorrow.  I personally like, no love that philosophy.
