There's nothing better to beat the summer heat than a dip in a refreshing spring-fed pool. If you've got the summer blah's, you need to get away. Pack the car and head for Krause Springs in Spicewood, Texas, northwest of Austin off Highway 71. www.krausesprings.net This is one of the most beautiful places in Texas for kids of all ages to play and relax. They have camping sites or you can just swim for the day. You will not be disappointed. The set of tuned wind chimes hanging from the spreading oaks play the most spectacular music.
