Joi has been a REALTOR® in Austin since 2004 and an Austin resident since 1995. She can help you with buying and selling homes, as well as finding investment properties. After many years at a small brokerage and then on her own as an independent Broker, Joi is excited to be a part of Realty Austin. This allows her to improve the services she provides to repeat and future clients. Joi has managed several of her own rental properties and short-term rentals for many years. In 2013, Joi and her husband built a custom "5-star green" home near Zilker Park. This personal experience helps her guide her clients who are interested in building or investing. She has a network of professional vendors, lenders, inspectors, and contractors to which she can refer clients. Joi and her husband have three energetic sons who are students at O'Henry Middle School, Headwaters School and Athena Montessori Academy. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, hosting parties, trying new restaurants and enjoying live music in Austin. Michele has over 15 years experience in real estate, 20+ years owning a design business, and 13+ years in Energy Commodity markets, both in Houston and NYMEX, Wall St, NY. She has an unparalleled level of knowledge in markets, buying and selling real estate in almost every area of Houston. Michele's background trading Energy Commodities, OTC Swaps and Derivatives, sets her experience apart from most other agents. Michele was one of the first female Oil and Gas Brokers where she pioneered the way for women in the industry. As the first OTC Electricity Broker, she started a brokerage desk in CT, where power in ERCOT and major electricity markets around the US were traded by her clients. Michele provides a comprehensive understanding of the economy, energy markets and the real estate market, both on a local and national level to her audiences. She has been asked to provided market commentary to The Wall St. Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg and others. With a distinguished level of expertise in business and designing, Michele demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity in her work.
