I have a background in engineering and project management, teaching (math and science), as well as in international business management. I'm also fluent in German. In 2008, I followed my heart and moved from Germany to Austin to start a new chapter in my life with my wonderful husband. We have two marvelous kids, who are super fun and active at school and at the Karate Dojo. We love spending time together as a family, exploring new activities, meeting up with friends, traveling the country, and pampering our two adorable dogs Paco and Spot. Over the years, my husband and I have always been passionate about the real estate market in Texas, and especially in Austin. Somer holds a J.D. from South Texas College of Law and a B.A. in Mass Communications from The University of Texas Pan-American. She is a member of the State Bar of Alabama, American Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, a Certified Mediator, and a member of the Houston Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

Outside of work, Somer enjoys assisting her clients with home renovation projects, participating in community events, and contributing to pro bono legal work. As a former court-appointed Child Advocate for foster children in Harris County, she enjoys dedicating time to her volunteer work as a member of Child Advocates' Young Professionals for Children.
