I have lived all of my life in Galveston County, and on Galveston Island for over 25 years, and love the unique lifestyle that Galveston has to offer from breathtaking sunsets on Galveston's West End to stunning architecture, theater, and shopping in Galveston's Downtown Strand and historic districts. I have 3 children who have all attended Galveston public schools, two who are recent Texas A&M graduates, and one who attends Texas A & M Corpus Christi. My family and I enjoy kayaking, fishing, boating, biking and all of the many outdoor activities available on the Island. I often have to ask myself while showing or selling gorgeous waterfront properties, "Am I working or am I on vacation?" What a wonderful place to live and work. Gay Fundling is a name that has been known around Jamaica Beach and Galveston for many years. Gay has lived on the West End of Galveston since the early 1960's. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim (BOI) in 1973 and raised their 2 sons here. In 1984, Gay started her real estate career with West Galveston Realty and in 2007, she started her own company, Galveston Island Real Estate on the West End of the island. Gay's expertise lies not only in complete knowledge of the real estate business but in her friendly and positive approach to life. Clients find her wonderful to work with and her friends and neighbors rely on her for her sage advice on all aspects of island living.

Barbara has been selling homes on Galveston Island since 1999. Although she specializes in West End resort property, she also loves helping clients find historic homes in Galveston’s unique neighborhoods. As a former Houstonian who bought her first home in Galveston as a weekend retreat, she easily identifies with the needs of second home buyers who want a tranquil escape.

Having twenty five years in the airline industry prior to becoming a Realtor®, Barbara understands the importance of customer service. She was among the top producers in the West End real estate prior to joining Sand ‘N Sea Properties and she credits her customer service training as a big part of her success.

Professional affiliations include: Galveston Association of Realtors®, Texas Association of Realtors® and National Association of Realtors®. She also is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative and has taken many courses including those focusing on selling luxury properties and staging homes. Barbara’s degree is in sociology with a minor in history and Spanish.

Civic and social organizations include the Executive Career Women of Galveston where she served as Vice President, the Jamaica Janes Women's Club and the Dough Girls, a local investment club where she has served as an officer; the First Thursday Bunch, and Galveston Country Club. She has also volunteered at the Silk Purse Thrift Shop and was on the Board of Directors of the Diocese of Texas Episcopal Church Women and currently serves as a member of Grace Church Foundation Board.

Traveling is a special love for Barbara along with visiting museums, playing bridge and enjoying friends and neighbors. Most special to her is walking on the beach in Galveston or any other beach!. Barbara has two children and three grandchildren in Texas and Georgia.
