My name is Amy Larner, and I grew up in League City, Texas. I made the move to Galveston as a full time resident in 2016. I have worked in the Insurance industry for over 25 years prior to pursuing my passion of Real Estate. While I am open to all areas of Galveston, Brazoria, and Harris counties, I am most familiar with Galveston Island. In fact, my favorite part of the city is our relaxed life style. The moment you pass over the causeway, or drive down beautiful Blue Water Highway your stress just disappears. From the beaches to the bay, the amazing Historic Strand, and fabulous dining you will quickly want to be an Islander as well.

To be a successful real estate agent, I believe in focusing on the community. I live where I work. I stay up stay up-to-date on local activities and understand the unique differences each neighborhood offers.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, and our sweet dogs. I enjoy being on the water, or taking a golf cart ride to the beach. I love to be outdoors, and take pride in my gardens. I am a weather junkie, and love to watch as a thunderstorm crosses the bay. I am fortunate to be living my best life, and I look forward to assisting others in achieving their dreams of homeownership.

I was born in Germany and have lived all over the world, being the daughter of an Air Force Officer. I chose to make Galveston my home. I lived in Sea Isle briefly in 1996, then moved to Atlanta, Georgia for the next 13 years. In 2009, I received my bachelor's degree in Film/Video with a minor in English at Georgia State University. I worked as a paralegal/legal assistant for the duration in Atlanta. I returned to Galveston Island, specifically Jamaica Beach, in January 2010. After bartending for nearly 10 years, I decided to finish/update my real estate classes, which I completed in 1996 in Texas. At the time, I didn't sit for the exam to obtain my license as I moved to Georgia. I am enjoying my 5th year as a Realtor at Galveston Island Real Estate. I am currently taking classes to become a broker. I hope to finish by the end of 2023. Besides working as a Realtor, I am in the process of writing a screenplay. I enjoy playing piano, guitar & drums in my 'free' time. I am involved in the community through the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Galveston Citizens Police Alumni Association (GCPAA), as Sergeant at Arms.

My wife Debbie and I work as a team. Debbie handles the processing and with her background as a mortgage broker she has the ability to help clients understand the loan process. I am a top HUD and bank foreclosure specialist with over 15 years. Our years of experience in not only good markets, but also in the down markets, attest to our ability to adjust in changing times. I specialize in the sale of homes in Galveston's unique neighborhoods, resort, beach and bay properties on Galveston Island, West End and East End. After a successful sales career in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, I relocated to Jamaica Beach in 2012 and made the professional change to real estate sales. My sales success is grounded in the ability to carefully listen to and meet my clients' needs. My ultimate goal is to make sure that all transactions are handled efficiently and professionally so that clients can quickly move on to enjoying home ownership on the island. Katie became a resident of Galveston as soon as she could, in 2019. Katie entered the real estate industry after a long career in dentistry, serving as a dental hygienist in the Houston, Austin, and Galveston areas for over 20 years. Her love of helping others carries through into helping folks find a place to call home or to sell their home. Having grown up next door, in Louisiana, Katie attended LSU for a degree in Allied Health, then on to Georgia State University for a degree in Dental Hygiene. She does consider herself to be a true Cajun, but made her way to Texas in 2002. Since moving to Galveston, Katie has become immersed in the community in many ways. Serving her church parish and her daughters school, Holy Family Catholic School, in numerous planning committees and boards. Katie has also volunteered with the Galveston Historical Foundation and is a supporter of small business owners in Galveston. Katie has also become involved with Galveston's City Council members, aiding them in their campaigns etc, to continually better our community for our residents. Katie has a love of sharing Galveston's history and it's uniqueness and this really shows when she interacts with anyone here! She is working on becoming a Certified Tourism Ambassador for the island. Katie knows that every clients' needs are unique and is dedicated to providing specialized attention to each individual. She does continuously attend continuing education seminars as well as various meetings around town to always stay informed on what is going on concerning our island.
