My family and I are previous boat owners and spent a lot of time on the weekends at South Shore Harbor. After 7 years of great fun, we decided to sell the boat and purchase a beach house in Freeport that all of the family could enjoy. I have also lived and worked in Sugarland, Missouri City, Houston, Pearland and surrounging areas. After 40 plus years in Management, my passion is selling Real Estate. Management taught me to be resourceful and not be easily defeated. I take those skills and apply them to my real estate practice everyday. Matthew B. Fitzgerald is a Friendswood native and Clear Lake area Realtor with Imagine Realty International, DBA, out of Katy, Texas. Mat lives in League City, Texas, with his daughter, Emerald Tru, and son, Roman Aedan.

A former active duty Marine, having served 17 years in the service including his Reserve time, Mat was recruited by one of the premier financial advisory companies in the country. He worked as a financial advisor, and certified financial manager, in the private client services division, specializing in comprehensive retirement planning, and asset and wealth management.

Having been ranked as "Rookie of the Year" in the Clear Lake area early in his financial services career during one of our countries most difficult financial markets - the early 2000s recession, and Dot-com bubble 2000-2002 - and after a successful four and a half years, Mat voluntarily left the industry in 2004. He went on to form his own limited liability company in order to pursue a self-employed career in investment real estate, and home improvement.

Taking his military discipline and financial knowledge to task, along with his experience in having personally and profitably invested in real estate, represented real estate investors, and worked in home improvement, Mat focuses on opportunities in both investment property acquisition, residential and commercial properties, and raw land.

I was born in Germany and have lived all over the world, being the daughter of an Air Force Officer. I chose to make Galveston my home. I lived in Sea Isle briefly in 1996, then moved to Atlanta, Georgia for the next 13 years. In 2009, I received my bachelor's degree in Film/Video with a minor in English at Georgia State University. I worked as a paralegal/legal assistant for the duration in Atlanta. I returned to Galveston Island, specifically Jamaica Beach, in January 2010. After bartending for nearly 10 years, I decided to finish/update my real estate classes, which I completed in 1996 in Texas. At the time, I didn't sit for the exam to obtain my license as I moved to Georgia. I am enjoying my 5th year as a Realtor at Galveston Island Real Estate. I am currently taking classes to become a broker. I hope to finish by the end of 2023. Besides working as a Realtor, I am in the process of writing a screenplay. I enjoy playing piano, guitar & drums in my 'free' time. I am involved in the community through the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Galveston Citizens Police Alumni Association (GCPAA), as Sergeant at Arms.
