Drawn by the lure of the sea, Marks and his family relocated to Galveston in mid-2015 and now call the beautiful Texas gulf coast home. As a resident and professional in this coastal region, he is intimately familiar with the unique issues related to coastal living, specifically coastal insurance issues (flood, wind), differing building codes and construction requirements. Marks brings a wealth of experience in home renovation, commercial construction, and historic restoration, valuable knowledge given the amount of older homes and historic buildings on the island.

Marks started his career managing a variety of large public assembly, multi-use and commercial properties in markets across the United States. After 25 years of operating commercial properties, 2012 found him jumping into the world of residential real estate, launching his practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. As you can imagine, real estate, like everything else in Las Vegas, was dynamic and always moving, and he quickly became a top producer within his brokerage.


When Marks is not immersed in the world of real estate, he enjoys playing golf on the island's golf courses, nurturing vibrant tropical plants and relishing the freshest local seafood. Simple pleasures include exploring the island on his golf cart, sunset gatherings with friends and quiet time on his porch enjoying the breeze off the water.

I was raised in the South Texas town of Kingsville, home of the King Ranch (one of the worlds largest), about 50 miles Southwest of Corpus Christi. My father was a home remodeling contractor and also owned a small paint and hardware store. After graduating high school, I worked with him in both the store and in the remodeling business, learning about home renovation. While working with him, I also attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville, majoring in Finance and minoring in General Business. In May of 1983, I began my real estate career with a Texas Real Estate Sales license, and I attained my Texas Brokers License in February of 1986. Kelly's passion is her clients. She was born and raised in Galveston, Texas and currently lives in League City and Tiki Island, Texas. After attending Texas A&M and graduating from University of Houston with a Marketing degree, Kelly worked in the Banking industry for many years. She then went on to attain her Mortgage Loan Originator License and her Real Estate License. She loves the relationship aspect of real estate and getting to know her clients. No two transactions are alike and that challenge is intriguing to her. She will be along side of her client every step of the way to make the buying or selling process enjoyable.

When Kelly is not working with her clients, she is enjoying her children and grandchildren. Kelly also enjoys working out, eating out and boating with her husband, John.

I accomplished my lifelong dream of living on the beach back in 2003 when I moved to Galveston. I graduated from Texas A&M University at Galveston and began working in my community as a historic restoration contractor. I have invested in the community by buying and restoring homes in Galveston. I have personal experience with short term vacation rentals, long term rentals, flipping homes, and finding forever homes. I will be in Galveston until my children (3 & 6 yo) have a family of their own, unless I can convince them to stay!



I hope to see you out in the surf, or cruising my bike on the seawall and through historic neighborhoods with my family. When I am not on the beach, or working on restoring my own historic Galveston home, I enjoy road trips with my friends and family, and trail riding in Houston's own national forest.

More than twenty years of working in the Historical Homes market of Galveston gives me a great background to help you find the right house easily and with minimal effort. With an annual average of 25 transactions buying, selling, and leasing properties dating from the turn of the 20th century, I have the experience needed to evaluate the property involved and determine the right pricing. I have been active in the restoration of my own Victorian era houses, and was actively involved in laying the groundwork for the formation of the San Jacinto Historical Conservation District. Currently I serve as the Texas Realtor's Region 10 political involvement committee representative. I am a past Chair of the Galveston Association of Realtors, have been Chair of the GAR Multiple Listing Service, Chair of the City of Galveston Arts and Historic Advisory Committee. I am a two time past Chairman of the Galveston Historical Foundation Events Committee, a past Chairman of the ad hoc Galveston Affordable Housing Committee, and a former Board member of the San Jacinto Neighborhood Association.
