After graduating from Sam Houston State University I spent several years as a mortgage lender before enjoying 15 years as an elementary physical education teacher where I went above and beyond applying for and being awarded multiple grants for our school. Formal academic achievements; Bachelor's degree in general science with concentration in Sociology, philosophy and psychology from the University of Houston in 1989 and a master's in business administration (MBA) in International Trade from Texas A&M International University in 1991.
