I started in 2002 in Las Colinas Texas specializing in golf course communities. Then in 2006 Moved to Aubrey Texas and specialized in Horse and Acreage properties. I moved to the Sugar Land area in 2011. I have experience in Residential , Lots and Acreage, Horse / Ranch, Rental, Golf Course, investment, as well as Retirement communities. I have listed and or sold homes anywhere from $50,000. to 1million. I have vast knowledge in contracts and am a skilled negotiator.

Going through this experience got me started on my real estate career path. I realized I wanted to help people make their biggest purchase with confidence. Confidence comes with knowledge. I have a double masters, in Business & Marketing, and in Information Science. I also continue taking courses in Real Estate to keep my skills honed and to better serve my clients. Understanding my client's unique needs and goals, and helping them reach a decision they feel confident about, is my top priority. I also consider myself to be a strong negotiator. I have earned the designation of a 'Master Certification Negotiation Expert'. I work diligently to save my clients money during their most expensive transaction. My experience and knowledge help me educate my clients with understanding the nuances and concerns of owning a home. All properties that I have listed for selling or leasing, sold within 45 days. I prepare a unique marketing strategy, based on the property, for all my clients. I live in Sugarland with my two teenage kids, my dog, and my professor husband. We moved here 15 years ago from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I understand how stressful moves can be. Jo Ann has served the real estate community in many leadership roles including Chairman of the Fort Bend PAALS, Chairman of the HAR Fort Bend Networking Group, Chairman of the TREPAC Advisory Group and as a TREPAC Trustee. She currently serves as a Regional Vice President for Texas REALTORS and on the Executive Committee and the Board of Director for both National Women's Council of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS. She is also a Federal Political Coordinator for House Representative Troy Nehls. Jo Ann is a Major RPAC Investor and a President's Circle Member, and IN 2019 was inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame.

Jo Ann is a founding member of Women's Council of REALTORS Fort Bend, serving as President in 1990. She went on to serve as State President in 1996 and in 2018 represented the organization as the National President. Under her direction, Women's Council signed their first International Agreement with Spain, rolled out a new network model to over 250 cities across the country, developed a standard operations agreement for all networks and launched a Foundation for the organization. Additionally, Women's Council rolled out a new 3-year Strategic Plan in 2018 and increased their RPAC numbers to achieve the highest participation rate of any institute, society or council in the NAR family.

Jo Ann is actively involved in her community, having served as Chairman of the Board for the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce twice, and Treasurer of the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council

Jo Ann is actively involved in numerous charitable organizations, including The Arc of Fort Bend "Best in the West" event raising in excess of $5M for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Stevens has also been honored for her many commitments. She received the Local Member of the Year Award, Local Entrepreneur of the Year Award and State Member of the Year Award from Women's Council twice. In 2018 she received the REALTOR of the Year Award from the Houston Association of REALTORS and she has also received the HAR Fort Bend REALTOR of the Year and the prestigious Omega Tau Rho Award from the National Association of REALTORS.

Stevens is a third-generation Texan and graduate of the University of Houston (BBA, Marketing). She has been married to husband Ron Stevens since 1975. The couple lives in Richmond and have four children, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 3 Shih Tzus pups.
