Prior to becoming a REALTOR®, Ray ran a small farm for more than eight years, worked in the IT department of a multifamily property management company, and spent several years as a purchasing manager for a manufacturing firm in Houston.

Ray has a passion for community involvement, service and leadership, and finds opportunities to serve in various capacities. He is a strong advocate for the local Houston Association of REALTOR® (HAR), and has served on the Professional Development, Management Central, Risk Management, TREPAC, Political Affairs, Communication and YPN Advisory Groups. He was Chair of the HAR Governmental Advisory Group for 2016 and 2017, and served as a Region 14 Trustee for the Texas Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee (TREPAC) from 2016 to 2019. Ray was on the Executive Board of Texas REALTORS® from 2018 to 2019, and was Chair of the Texas REALTORS® YPN Group in 2020. In 2021, Ray served as the Chair of the NAR Business Issues Policy Committee.

In 2012, Ray was recognized by HAR's NRG (now YPN) as one of the 20 Under 40 Rising Stars in real estate.

In 2013, Ray was selected for the highly respected Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP) and graduated from the 4-month program, in November, 2013.

Ray has been active in the leadership of the Greater Houston CRS Chapter, serving as the President-elect in 2013, President of the Chapter in 2014, Past-President in 2015, and Financial Chair in 2016. CRS agents are typically the most knowledgeable professionals in the field and rank in the top 3% across the country.

After years of successful affiliation with Rodney Powell of Powell Real Estate, Ray opened his own firm, Legacy Texas Properties, in 2013, where he now serves as Broker/ Owner. Legacy Texas Properties is focused on quality client representation and utilizes the latest technology to allow their agents to spend more time serving their clients' needs. Transactions are e-signed through DocuSign, then tracked and shared securely through the DocuSign Transaction Management system.

Splitting his youth and formative years between the United States and Mexico, Aaron speaks fluent English and Spanish and knows the ins and outs of the real estate industry and market in both countries. He received a science degree in California in 1995 and went on to become the partner and general manager of a reputable automotive shop. His extensive knowledge in mechanics gave way to a new venture in retrofitting engines on several high performance cars for racing. Meanwhile, Aaron began focusing his interests on creating a real estate agency to help foreigners buy homes in Mexico. With the goal of providing personalized and prompt service where it was previously unavailable, Aaron started Coco Realty in 2005, a Real Estate Company based in the remote and enchanting seaside town of Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Specializing in vacation rentals, property sales and the creation of the necessary bank trusts for foreign owners and investors, he has been commended by peers and online reviewers for being honest, knowledgeable, efficient, and just an all around nice guy.
